Acer To Start Smartphone Manufacturing In India

The company has invested $10 million to begin the assembly of smartphones.

Many foreign smartphone manufacturers like Lava, acer_logo_white_backgroundKarbonn, Xiaomi and Gionee have set up assembly operations in the country in line with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

These companies are eyeing to tap India’s multi-billion dollar fastest growing smartphone markets in the world.
The Indian handset industry is forecasted to overtake the US as the second-largest market in next few years.
