Acer launched the 7-inch Iconia B1-720 at CES this year, though the tablet is yet to release in markets like India. A new leak has suggested that the Iconia B1-720’s refresh, believed to be dubbed Iconia B1-730 HD, is on cards already and will be announced at Acer’s official press event on April 29.

A German publication claims to have obtained the press images and specifications of the yet-to-be-announced Iconia B1-730 HD. The leaked press images suggest that the alleged Iconia B1-730 HD will feature textured back panel, and will sport company logo-branding on the bottom of the front panel. The renders also indicate that the rumoured Iconia B1-730 HD tablet features on-screen buttons for back, home and recent apps.

The Mobile Geeks has also leaked the purported specifications of the Iconia B1-730 HD which include a 7-inch (1280×800 pixel) display; dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 clocked at 1.6GHz; PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU; 1GB of RAM; 3700mAh battery; 8GB/16GB inbuilt storage with expandable storage support and a 5-megapixel rear camera. Unfortunately, there is no mention of the Android OS version on the Iconia Tab B1-720 HD.

The Acer Iconia Tab B1-720, on the other hand, already available in North America, runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. It features a 7-inch OGS (One Glass Solution) display and packs a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT8111 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage on the tablet is 16GB which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Earlier, the Acer Tab 7 budget Android tablet was listed on a Chinese online retailer. It features a 7-inch screen with a 1024×600 pixel resolution and runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The device is powered by a dual-core Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM.
