Flipkart has officially announced the dates for its annual Independence Day shopping event, the Flipkart Freedom Sale. Scheduled to launch nationwide on August 8, the sale will feature extensive discounts across multiple consumer electronics categories, including smartphones, laptops, smart TVs, tablets, and personal audio devices.
Early Access and Banking Discounts
While the public sale starts on August 8, Flipkart Plus and Flipkart Black subscribers are expected to gain 24-hour early access starting August 7. To help shoppers maximize savings, Flipkart has partnered with State Bank of India (SBI) to offer an instant 10 percent discount for SBI credit cardholders, which will also apply to qualifying EMI transactions. Additional price cuts will be accessible through product exchange programs and no-cost EMI options.

Although finalized promotional prices remain under wraps, Flipkart has teased major deals on key flagship and mid-range devices. Highlighted smartphones include the Apple iPhone 17, Samsung Galaxy S25, and Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. In computing and home entertainment, discounts are confirmed for the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 laptop, the Galaxy Tab A11+ tablet, and Samsung 55-inch 4K smart TVs. Throughout the event, Flipkart will run structured flash sales and themed price drops across six main categories: India’s Top Deals, Deals of the Day, Price Crash, Rush Hours, Tick Tock Deals, and Made in India specials.
