Tecno Pova 8 5G Set for June 11 India Launch: Massive 8,000mAh Battery and Glyph Interface Confirmed

Tecno has officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated mid-range smartphone, the Tecno Pova 8 5G, in India. According to promotional updates shared on social media platforms, the upcoming device is scheduled to make its official debut on June 11 at 12:00 PM IST. A dedicated banner on the Flipkart application has also confirmed the smartphone’s availability on the e-commerce platform following the launch.

The official teasers offer an early look at the phone’s aesthetics, revealing a distinct design available in green and silver color options. While the overall rear layout shares similarities with its predecessor, the brand is introducing a major visual upgrade by integrating a matrix-style dotted micro-LED lighting setup into the camera module. Dubbed a “Glyph Matrix” interface, this feature allows users to keep track of real-time notifications and system status updates without activating the main screen.

Beyond its striking external appearance, the Tecno Pova 8 5G aims to establish a benchmark for battery longevity in its class. The promotional teasers explicitly highlight a massive 8,000mAh battery, designed to easily cater to mobile gamers and heavy users. Certification records indicate the smartphone supports 45W wired fast charging to efficiently power up the high-capacity cell.

Recent database entries on Geekbench and the Google Play Console have further outlined the internal hardware configuration. The smartphone is tipped to feature a flat Full HD+ display panel supporting a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth navigation. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processing unit. Multiple storage variants are anticipated at launch, spanning up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, while running Android 16 straight out of the box.
