Motorola has officially raised the stakes in the sub-₹30,000 smartphone segment with the launch of the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. Combining a sophisticated “fabric finish” design with rugged internals, the new device aims to disrupt the mid-range market currently dominated by players like OnePlus and Realme.
High-Performance Display and Build
The Edge 70 Fusion features a 6.78-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display. With a staggering peak brightness of 5,200 nits and a 144Hz refresh rate, the screen promises exceptional clarity even under direct sunlight. To ensure longevity, the display is shielded by Gorilla Glass 7i, and the entire phone carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to high-pressure water jets and deep submersion. Furthermore, it has passed 16 rigorous military-grade durability tests (MIL-STD-810H).
Under the Hood: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4
Driving the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. To keep thermals in check during heavy gaming or multitasking, Motorola has integrated a large 4473mm² vapor chamber cooling system. Software-wise, the phone debuts with “Hello UI” based on the latest Android 16, with a commitment of three major OS upgrades and five years of security patches.
Massive Battery and Sony Optics
The headline feature is undoubtedly the 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which supports 68W TurboPower fast charging. Despite the enormous battery capacity, the phone maintains a sleek profile, weighing just 193g.
For photography enthusiasts, the Edge 70 Fusion boasts a 50MP primary sensor (Sony LYTIA 710) with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), complemented by a 13MP ultra-wide lens that serves as a macro camera. A 32MP front-facing camera handles high-resolution selfies and 4K video recording.
Pricing and Launch Offers
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is available in three Pantone-curated shades: Blue Surf, Country Air, and Silhouette.
Exclusive Perk: Every purchase includes an 18-month subscription to Google Gemini Pro, a value-added service worth ₹35,100.
Sales are set to begin on March 12th at 12:00 PM via Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and leading retail outlets across India.
