In an Conversation with M.A. Mannan, Country Head – South Asia for Corsair, shares how the brand adapts its global vision for the Indian and South Asian markets. IT Voice-  As Country Head – South Asia for Corsair, how do you align the brand’s global vision with the unique demands of the Indian and South Asian markets?

M.A.Mannan : Corsair’s global vision centres on empowering gamers, creators, and PC enthusiasts with cutting-edge hardware. In South Asia, we translate that vision by localizing our approach—adapting to price sensitivity, infrastructure variability, and diverse consumer behaviour. We align with the community through regional marketing, customer education, and partnerships, ensuring Corsair’s global innovation reaches users in a way that feels relevant and accessible locally.

IT Voice- You’ve worked closely with Amazon India and key channel partners. What strategies have proven most effective for Corsair’s market penetration across digital and offline retail?

M.A.Mannan : A hybrid approach works the best. On Amazon India, we focus on strong content like A+ premium listing,  analytics-driven pricing, and curated promotions to reach tech-savvy consumers by participating in every event. Offline, which is our biggest contributor we invest in partner training, product experience zones, and regional engagement. This dual model helps us build both reach and trust—especially in a category where touch-and-feel and peer recommendations matter. South Asia is still a channel driven market though Amazon is growing leaps and bounds.

Gaming & Creator Ecosystem

IT Voice- Corsair’s portfolio spans gaming peripherals, streaming gear, and PC components. How are you seeing the demand evolve in India among gamers, streamers, and content creators?

M.A.Mannan : Demand is evolving steadily. Gamers now expect professional-grade gear, while content creators want more than just performance—they’re seeking aesthetics, flexibility, and workflow efficiency. We’ve seen a sharp rise in interest for streaming products, ergonomic builds, and silent systems. The Indian user base is becoming more discerning and aspirational. Corsair portfolio satisfies the basic needs of a consumer who is looking for a quality product with high class performance.

IT Voice- How does Corsair plan to support India’s growing e-sports and creator economy through its hardware innovations?

M.A.Mannan : Corsair is committed to supporting India’s rapidly growing e-sports and creator economy by leveraging its decades of expertise in high-performance gaming hardware and innovative technology solutions. Recognizing India’s increasing influence in the global gaming and streaming arena, Corsair is focused on delivering a comprehensive, integrated ecosystem that empowers both professional and aspiring e-sports athletes as well as content creators.

For competitive gaming, Corsair offers high-performance hardware such as the K70 Pro TKL, M75 series mice, and Virtuoso Pro headsets engineered for precision, speed, and durability. For the creator community, Corsair’s Stream Deck, professional microphones, lighting, and video capture solutions provide the tools needed to streamline workflows, enhance production quality, and elevate content creation for streaming, video editing, and broadcast.

 Channel Development

IT Voice- Can you elaborate on your approach to building a robust and responsive distribution network in South Asia?

M.A.Mannan :We believe in building relationships and across South Asia we have partners aligned promoting Corsair. Our distribution model is to work with our national distributors and have a stream of channel partners aligned under our distributors who complement by focused partners in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Transparency, service capability, and inventory efficiency are key. We invest in training, co-marketing, and digital enablement to ensure agility and consistency across the region.

IT Voice- What are the key factors you consider when onboarding or evaluating new channel partners in this region?

M.A.Mannan : A good partner understands Corsair’s value proposition and is committed to post-sales support, community engagement, and market development. We also assess their digital maturity, especially as online-to-offline convergence grows.

Innovation & Product Launches

IT Voice- Corsair recently launched products like the 5000D Frame Case and SCUF Valor controllers. What goes into the decision-making process for introducing new SKUs to South Asia?

M.A.Mannan : It’s a data-driven and community-informed process. We monitor global sales data, local search trends, and feedback from our partners and creators. We also look at compatibility—whether the product suits local preferences in form factor, price, and performance. Every SKU we launch in South Asia must offer real value and relevance.

IT Voice- How do you balance between enthusiast-grade hardware and mainstream affordability in price-sensitive markets like India?

M.A.Mannan : Corsair has a varied portfolio which address both the segment, of course for India which is a price sensitive market our Entry-level and mid-range offerings in all categories meet the needs of budget-conscious buyers, while enthusiast-grade products serve high-performance users.

Market Trends & Consumer Insights

IT Voice- What consumer trends have surprised you the most in South Asia—especially in the DIY PC building and streaming space?

M.A.Mannan : The sheer creativity and ambition of India’s DIY and creator community has been inspiring. Custom PC builds, white-themed setups, and RGB optimization are becoming the norm. The line between gamers and creators is also blurring—more users are both playing and producing content. It’s a dynamic shift we’re excited to support.

IT Voice- How is Corsair adapting to the increasing demand for AI-optimized systems and content creation workflows?

M.A.Mannan : We’re evolving our portfolio with AI-ready products in all categories like premium quality RAM, faster SSDs, performance PSUs & cooling solutions and finally yet to launch AI recommended cases. Our Elgato ecosystem is also integrating tools for automated content management and streaming optimization. Corsair is positioning itself as the backbone of next-gen creative and AI-driven workflows.

Leadership & Outlook

IT Voice- You’ve represented the region in global Corsair sales conferences. What key insights from these meetings have influenced your local strategies?

M.A.Mannan : One major insight is the shift toward ecosystem integration. Globally, we’re aligning hardware, software, and services into seamless platforms—like iCUE. This influenced our push in South Asia to promote bundled solutions and educate users on how to get the most from a unified Corsair setup. Corsair now has an umbrella of brands like Elgato, Scuf & Fanatec, we are getting ready to launch these products for the Indian customers and it would an exciting year ahead.

IT Voice- What is your vision for Corsair’s footprint in South Asia over the next 3–5 years? Are there any new categories or innovations we can expect?

M.A.Mannan : Our vision is to deepen Corsair’s presence across Tier 1 to Tier 3 cities, making high-performance gear more accessible. We’ll continue expanding in content creation, AI-optimized systems, and lifestyle tech. Expect more innovation in personalization, modular design, and sustainable performance. South Asia is a strategic priority—and our roadmap reflects that.
