Exclusive Interview with TPV Carol Anne Dias: Leading AOC & Philips Monitors Across India, MEA & Africa

Exclusive IT Voice interview, Carol Anne Dias, Deputy Sales Director – Middle East, Africa & INDIA (TPV Technology -AOC / Philips Monitors), shares strategic insights on driving AOC and Philips Monitors across India, the Middle East, and Africa. From gaming innovation to sustainability and women in tech leadership, she outlines TPV’s bold vision for 2025 and beyond.

Leadership & Regional Strategy

IT Voice – Can you share your strategic priorities for AOC and Philips Monitors across India, the Middle East, and Africa in 2025?

Carol Anne Dias : In 2025, the strategic priorities for AOC and Philips Monitors across India, the Middle East, and Africa will focus on both growth and differentiation.

AOC will continue to build on its strong presence in the gaming and lifestyle segments by promoting high-performance monitors, partnering with eSports communities, and launching region-specific campaigns.

Philips, on the other hand, will target the professional and enterprise sectors—including healthcare, education, and corporate—by offering productivity-enhancing displays and business solutions. Sustainability will be a key differentiator for Philips, with a focus on eco-friendly products and certifications such as TCO and EPEAT to appeal to environmentally conscious customers.

Initiating ‘’Make in India’’ will give us the upper edge in targeting segments by localizing the manufacturing in country.

Both brands will prioritize expanding their reach in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, particularly in India and emerging markets across Africa and the Middle East, by strengthening distribution networks and supporting local channel partners. Enhancing digital presence through e-commerce platforms and improving retail experiences will also be crucial. Additionally, product innovation will play a central role, with a focus on hybrid work, creator-focused features, and integrated solutions like USB-C, built-in webcams, and curved displays.

IT Voice : How do you tailor your sales and market strategies to cater to such diverse and dynamic regions?

Carol Anne Dias : Each region has its own unique set of opportunities and challenges, so our approach begins with deep market research and segmentation. In India, we focus on volume-driven strategies with a strong emphasis on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, price competitiveness, and leveraging the “Make in India” initiative to gain cost and supply chain advantages.

In contrast, the Middle East, particularly the Gulf countries, demands more premium products and professional solutions, so we emphasize high-end displays. For Africa, affordability, distribution reach, and after-sales support are key, so we prioritize channel development, durable product offerings, and local service presence.

Marketing efforts are localized through region-specific campaigns, multilingual content, and partnerships with local influencers or organizations. Additionally, our sales teams work closely with local distributors and resellers, offering tailored incentives, training, and co-branded marketing to drive demand. This flexible, insight-driven, and localized approach allows us to remain agile, competitive, and relevant across the regions.

Growth & Market Positioning

IT Voice : How is TPV Technology positioned in India’s monitor and display market currently?

Carol Anne Dias : As of 2025, TPV Technology has solidified its position as a leading player in India’s monitor and display market, particularly through its brands AOC and Philips. Agon by AOC, the gaming sub brand has emerged as the world’s number one gaming monitor brand, according to the Q4 2024 IDC Quarterly Gaming Tracker Report. This success is attributed to TPV’s strategic distribution partnerships and targeted marketing efforts.

In India, TPV has appointed Redington Limited, Rashi Peripherals Limited and Creative NewTech as its primary distribution partners catering to different parts within the territory. These partnerships leverage extensive channel networks to enhance product availability and reach across key metro and Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. Focusing on the online platforms alongside participating in small events in cities showcasing a hands on gaming experience with our monitors brings us closer to our younger audience.

The Indian gaming monitor market is experiencing significant growth, projected to reach USD 7.5 billion by FY28. TPV aims to capitalize on this opportunity by increasing its presence across all key retail chains and e-commerce platforms in India. Overall, TPV Technology’s strategic distribution partnerships, targeted marketing efforts, and focus on product innovation have positioned it as a formidable competitor in India’s monitor and display market.

IT Voice : What are your expansion plans for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India where demand for quality displays is growing?

Carol Anne Dias: We aim to bridge the accessibility gap by making AOC and Philips monitors more readily available in these cities through a multi-pronged approach.

First, we are deepening our partnerships with leading national distributors such as Redington, Rashi Peripherals and Creative NewTech, leveraging their extensive networks to enhance last-mile delivery and inventory support in non-metro areas. We’re also working closely with local channel partners and resellers, offering training, marketing support, and attractive incentive schemes to boost brand visibility and retail performance.

Secondly, we are focusing on expanding our retail footprint in regional markets through strategic tie-ups with large-format electronics retailers and value-focused IT stores. We’re ensuring that our top-performing models—especially those suited for education, productivity, and entertainment—are well-stocked and actively promoted in these locations.

In addition, we’re tailoring product bundles and pricing strategies to meet the specific needs of value-conscious customers in these areas, while also investing in regional marketing campaigns, vernacular content, and local influencer collaborations to drive awareness and trust.

Lastly, service accessibility is a key enabler. We are expanding our after-sales support coverage with more authorized service centers and faster turnaround times to build long-term customer confidence. Overall, our Tier 2 and Tier 3 city strategy is designed to be scalable, locally relevant, and focused on long-term customer relationships.

Product Innovation

IT Voice : AOC and Philips have introduced several innovations in gaming, business, and professional monitors. What product segments are you most excited about in 2025?

Carol Anne Dias: The gaming segment continues to be a major growth driver, particularly with AOC’s AGON by AOC series. We’re excited about high-refresh rate monitors (360Hz), ultra-wide curved displays, and those with NVIDIA G-Sync or AMD FreeSync Premium technologies. Models like the AOC AGON PRO series are designed for competitive gamers and streamers, offering fast response times, immersive visuals, and sleek aesthetics. The introduction of OLED and Mini-LED displays in gaming is also a segment we’re closely investing in.

With hybrid and remote work models becoming the norm, productivity-focused monitors are gaining momentum. We’re particularly enthusiastic about Philips USB-C docking monitors that support single-cable connectivity for data, power, and video—ideal for professionals and enterprise environments. Features like built-in webcams with Windows Hello support, integrated speakers, and low blue light/ergonomic design make these monitors a compelling fit for modern workspaces.

IT Voice : How is TPV integrating new technologies such as USB-C docking, eye-care solutions, and sustainable materials into its monitors?

Carol Anne Dias: Recognizing the growing concern over screen fatigue, TPV has made eye-care technology a standard across many AOC and Philips models. This includes Flicker-Free backlighting, LowBlue Mode to reduce harmful blue light, and EasyRead mode for improved reading comfort. High-end models also come with TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification, assuring users of extended comfort during prolonged use. Adjustable stands (height, tilt, swivel, and pivot) further promote ergonomic work environments.

TPV is incorporating USB-C docking solutions that allow users to connect their laptop, power their device (up to 90W), and transfer data and video signals—all through a single cable. These monitors simplify cable clutter and enhance productivity, making them ideal for hybrid work setups, business users, and creatives. Multi-monitor configurations and daisy-chaining (via DisplayPort-out) are also supported in many models, enabling more streamlined workspaces.

Sustainability is a key pillar, especially for Philips and AOC monitors. We are incorporating recycled plastics, PVC/BFR-free components, and mercury-free panels into its product designs. Packaging is also being redesigned using recyclable materials and more compact layouts to reduce environmental impact during shipping.

Through these innovations, TPV is not only enhancing user experience and productivity but also reinforcing its commitment to responsible manufacturing and sustainable technology. These features are becoming key differentiators where user awareness and demand for such value-added features are steadily rising.

Channel & Distribution Focus

IT Voice : What role do your channel and distribution partners play in driving sales in India and MEA?

Carol Anne Dias: Channel and distribution partners play a critical and strategic role in driving sales across India and the Middle East & Africa (MEA). Their local expertise, extensive reach, and operational capabilities form the backbone of our go-to-market strategy in these highly diverse and geographically spread regions.

In India, our distributors Redington Limited, Rashi Peripherals and Creative NewTech are instrumental in ensuring nationwide availability of AOC and Philips monitors. These partnerships help us ensure broad market coverage, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Manage inventory efficiently, ensuring key models are always in stock at the right locations. They deliver faster after-sales support through local service networks and run localized promotions and training, enabling retail staff and resellers to better understand and sell our products.

In MEA, we work closely with regional distributors and key resellers in countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, and South Africa.  We have appointed one distributor for each country to meet the different market demands.

Are there any new channel incentive programs, partner trainings, or collaborations planned for this year?

TPV Technology has a strong focus on expanding and strengthening its partner ecosystem in 2025, and several new initiatives are underway to support channel growth across India. Recognizing the vital role that partners play in market penetration and brand visibility, we’re introducing a range of programs designed to enhance engagement, knowledge, and profitability for our distribution and retail networks.

Enterprise & Sustainability & ESG Goals

IT Voice : With hybrid work and digital transformation growing in enterprises, how is TPV addressing the needs of the B2B and enterprise segment?

Carol Anne Dias: With hybrid work and digital transformation reshaping enterprise environments, TPV Technology is actively addressing the evolving needs of the B2B and enterprise segment through a focused and solutions-driven approach.

Philips Monitors offers a range of business-centric monitors designed for modern workplaces, including USB-C docking monitors that simplify connectivity and enhance productivity with single-cable setups. These monitors often come with built-in webcams, speakers, and ergonomic features, making them ideal for video conferencing and hybrid collaboration. Recognizing the growing emphasis on employee well-being, TPV incorporates eye-care technologies such as LowBlue Mode and Flicker-Free displays, along with TCO and Energy Star certifications to meet corporate sustainability goals.

IT Voice : Sustainability is becoming a key buying factor. How is TPV embedding eco-friendly practices in product design, packaging, and supply chain?

Carol Anne Dias: Sustainability is increasingly influencing customer choices, and TPV Technology is proactively embedding eco-friendly practices across its product design, packaging, and supply chain to meet this growing demand. In product development, TPV prioritizes the use of recycled materials, such as post-consumer plastics, in the construction of many Philips monitors. The company also ensures that its displays are mercury-free, PVC/BFR-free, and comply with global environmental standards such as Energy Star, EPEAT, and TCO Certified—making them more energy-efficient and safer for both users and the environment.

In terms of packaging, TPV is shifting to sustainable, recyclable materials and reducing excess packaging volume to minimize its carbon footprint during transportation. Compact, eco-conscious box designs are being implemented to improve logistics efficiency and lower emissions.

On the supply chain front, TPV is optimizing manufacturing and distribution processes to reduce waste and energy usage. This includes working with suppliers who share similar environmental commitments, improving energy efficiency in production facilities, and using more efficient shipping and logistics practices.

Competitive Edge

IT Voice : In a highly competitive monitor market, what do you believe differentiates TPV brands like AOC and Philips from others?

Carol Anne Dias: AOC and Philips Monitors stand out through a combination of diverse product innovation, focused segmentation, and strong value-driven positioning that caters to both consumer and enterprise needs.

What differentiates AOC is its stronghold in the gaming and lifestyle segment. AOC Gaming’s G-Series monitors are globally recognized for delivering high-performance features—such as high refresh rates, low response times, adaptive sync technologies, and immersive curved designs—at competitive price points. This has made AOC a top choice among gamers and streamers, particularly in emerging markets where performance and affordability are both critical. AOC’s strong community engagement through esports sponsorships, influencer collaborations, and localized marketing further cements its appeal among younger audiences.

Philips, on the other hand, sets itself apart with a clear focus on business, professional, and eco-conscious users. Its monitors are known for their user-centric features—like USB-C docking, integrated webcams, and ergonomic designs—that address the evolving needs of hybrid workers and professionals. Additionally, Philips is one of the few brands that emphasizes sustainability as a core product attribute, models built with recycled materials and energy-efficient components. This focus resonates strongly with enterprise and institutional buyers who are increasingly factoring in environmental impact alongside performance.

Women in Tech Leadership

IT Voice : As a woman leading the sales across three large regions, what have been your key leadership learnings?

Carol Anne Dias: As a woman leading sales across the diverse and dynamic, my leadership journey has been shaped by both challenges and invaluable lessons. One of the most important learnings has been the power of adaptability—each region has its own cultural, economic, and business dynamics, and success requires a deep understanding of local nuances while maintaining a unified strategic vision. I’ve learned to listen actively, remain agile, and empower local teams to lead with accountability.

Another key lesson is the importance of resilience and confidence, particularly in traditionally male-dominated industries like technology and hardware. Earning trust and building credibility sometimes takes longer, but consistency, results, and authenticity always speak louder than assumptions. I’ve found that bringing empathy and emotional intelligence into leadership creates stronger, more motivated teams and healthier partnerships—especially during times of uncertainty or change.

Whether working with internal teams, channel partners, or customers, building relationships based on trust, transparency, and mutual respect has been essential to driving long-term success. And finally, I’ve learned that representation matters. Being a woman in a leadership role is not just about breaking barriers, but about creating space for others—mentoring young professionals, advocating for diversity, and proving that leadership can be both strategic and inclusive.

IT Voice :What advice would you give to young professionals, especially women aspiring for leadership in tech?

Carol Anne Dias: To young professionals—especially women—aspiring to leadership roles in the tech industry, my advice would be both practical and personal. First and foremost, believe in your voice and your value. The tech space can be fast-paced and competitive, but don’t let that intimidate you. Instead, see it as an opportunity to bring fresh perspective, drive innovation, and challenge the norm. You don’t have to “fit in” to succeed—you need to stand out by being authentic, well-prepared, and persistent.

Build deep expertise in your field and never stop learning. Tech evolves rapidly, so stay curious, invest in your skills, and understand the business side of your role—not just the technical side. This will make you a more strategic thinker and position you for leadership earlier. Equally important is developing strong communication and relationship-building skills, as collaboration, influence, and stakeholder management are key to leadership at any level.

Remember that leadership is not just about a title—it’s about impact. Bring others along with you, especially other women. Support, uplift, and create space for diverse voices. When you lead with purpose and integrity, the results will follow—and so will the respect.

Future Outlook

IT Voice : What major trends do you foresee in the monitor/display industry over the next few years?

Carol Anne Dias: Over the next few years, the monitor and display industry is expected to undergo significant evolution, driven by shifting work habits, technological innovation, and rising sustainability awareness. One of the most prominent trends will be the continued rise of hybrid work, fueling demand for productivity-focused monitors with features like USB-C docking, built-in webcams, and ergonomic designs that support flexible and clutter-free workspaces.

Simultaneously, the gaming segment will remain a major growth driver, with consumers seeking high refresh rates, ultra-low latency, and immersive displays—particularly OLED and Mini-LED panels that deliver superior visual performance.

Sustainability will become a central differentiator, with more buyers, especially in B2B and public sectors, prioritizing energy-efficient, eco-certified products made from recycled materials.

Smart monitors with integrated features like voice assistants, IoT connectivity, and even built-in computing capabilities are also expected to gain traction, especially for home offices and digital signage applications. Additionally, as content creation becomes more mainstream, there will be increased demand for professional-grade displays offering 4K/5K resolution, factory-calibrated color accuracy, and wide color gamut support.

Lastly, AI-driven personalization—such as auto-adjusting brightness or eye-tracking—could further enhance user experience across both consumer and professional segments. Overall, the industry is moving towards more intelligent, sustainable, and user-centric solutions.

IT Voice : What is your vision for TPV’s role in shaping the future of productivity, entertainment, and immersive display experiences?

Carol Anne Dias: As one of the world’s leading display manufacturers, TPV is uniquely positioned to influence how people work, play, and engage with digital content across both consumer and professional environments. In the productivity space, our goal is to empower the modern workforce—whether in the office, at home, or on the move—through intelligent, ergonomic, and seamless display solutions. This includes expanding our portfolio of USB-C monitors, all-in-one conferencing displays, and energy-efficient screens designed for hybrid work models and evolving enterprise needs.

In entertainment, we aim to redefine visual immersion through cutting-edge technologies in our AOC gaming lineup, such as high refresh rate panels, ultra-wide formats, and next-generation OLED and Mini-LED displays. We’re committed to creating accessible, high-performance monitors that elevate the gaming and content consumption experience for both casual and competitive users.

Beyond that, we see immersive display experiences extending into education, healthcare, design, and smart living—areas where innovation in screen quality, interactivity, and sustainability will play a pivotal role. TPV will continue to lead by integrating AI-driven features, smarter connectivity, and eco-conscious design principles, ensuring our products not only meet today’s demands but also anticipate the needs of tomorrow. Ultimately, our vision is to make TPV a catalyst for more connected, creative, and sustainable digital experiences around the world.

IT Voice :What message would you like to convey to your partners, customers, and stakeholders in India and across MEA?

Carol Anne Dias: To our valued partners, customers, and stakeholders across India and the Middle East & Africa, my message is one of deep appreciation and continued commitment. Your trust, collaboration, and support have been instrumental in TPV’s growth journey, and as we look ahead, we remain more focused than ever on delivering value, innovation, and long-term partnership.

In an industry that’s evolving rapidly we are proud to be at the forefront through brands. Whether it’s through cutting-edge display technology, localized solutions, or our expanding service and distribution network, our goal is to support your success by staying agile, responsive, and customer-centric.

We are also committed to growing with you. This means continued investment in product innovation, regional expansion, channel enablement, and sustainable practices that align with the future you’re building.
