Meta strengthens leadership in India with new appointment to drive strategic growth, partnerships, and innovation.
Meta, the global technology leader behind platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as the new Managing Director and Head for Meta in India, effective July 1, 2025. This move follows the recent elevation of Sandhya Devanathan to a broader role as Vice President for India and South East Asia.
In his new position, Arun will be responsible for unifying Meta’s business, innovation, and revenue priorities to better serve its partners and clients across the Indian market. He will also lead Meta’s strategic charter in India, with a focus on deepening relationships with the country’s top brands, advertisers, developers, and ecosystem partners.
With nearly three decades of experience across sales and marketing leadership roles at companies like Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, OLA, and WestBridge Capital, Arun brings a proven track record of driving growth and innovation in dynamic business environments. A post-graduate from IIM Kolkata, he joined Meta in 2020 as the Director and Head of Ads Business for India, where he played a key role in scaling Meta’s engagement with India’s largest advertisers and agencies—especially around core revenue-driving areas like AI, Reels, and Messaging.

Commenting on the appointment, Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President, Meta India & South East Asia, said:
“As India continues to be at the forefront of economic growth and innovation, we are excited to have Arun at the helm of our efforts in this critical market. Meta in India is leading the way in AI adoption, WhatsApp, and Reels, and Arun’s impressive track record of building high-performing teams, driving product innovation, and fostering strong partnerships makes him the ideal leader to drive Meta’s continued investment in the country. He will continue to work closely with me as we scale the business in India.”
This appointment underscores Meta’s continued commitment to India as a high-priority market, with a focus on building meaningful partnerships, enabling digital transformation, and accelerating economic opportunity through innovation.
