In a significant leadership move, global networking giant TP-Link has appointed Sanjay Sehgal as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of its India operations. This marks the first time an Indian executive has taken the top leadership position at TP-Link India, reflecting the company’s strategic focus on deepening its roots and expanding its offerings in the Indian market.
Sanjay Sehgal, who previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of TP-Link India, has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and operational efficiency. Under his leadership, TP-Link has solidified its position as the market leader in the consumer Wi-Fi segment, commanding a market share of over 24% in 2024, according to IDC data.
“This new chapter is not just about growth, it’s about contributing meaningfully to India’s digital infrastructure and innovation story,” Sehgal underscoring the company’s commitment to supporting the nation’s digital journey.
Following Sehgal’s elevation, Bijoy Alaylo, former Vice President of TP-Link’s surveillance business, has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Alaylo brings with him extensive experience in the networking and surveillance space, and his appointment is expected to further strengthen the company’s operational strategy and product expansion efforts.
The leadership reshuffle comes at a time when TP-Link is aggressively investing in new product segments and expanding its footprint in India’s rapidly evolving networking and digital infrastructure landscape.
This move signifies TP-Link’s renewed commitment to India, a market it views as pivotal to its global growth strategy. With strong leadership at the helm, the company is poised to play a more influential role in shaping the future of networking and connectivity in the country.
