Varinder Singh Jawanda – MASL WORLD specializes in IT infrastructure and system integration, primarily serving the B2G sector. Our core offerings include building and managing IT infrastructure solutions, data centers, telecom networks, railway signaling systems, unified communication platforms, and smart surveillance systems. We also deliver advanced solutions like integrated traffic management systems, defense IT infrastructure, and smart city IT frameworks powered by IoT and AI technologies.

IT VOICE – How does MASLWORLD contribute to innovation and growth in its industry?

Varinder Singh Jawanda – At MASL WORLD, we recognize that in a digitally evolving world, especially in a market like India, the role of a system integrator is absolutely critical. Organizations are moving from outdated legacy systems to modern, scalable infrastructure, and this transition is complex and imperative. Our job is to make that complexity invisible to our clients while ensuring their systems are seamlessly integrated and built for the future. We provide end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions, managing every part of the transformation from designing and planning to the full DSITC (Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning) cycle.

IT VOICE :Are there plans to expand MASLWORLD’s footprint internationally? If so, which regions are you targeting?

Varinder Singh Jawanda : Our strategic expansion plans are focused on regions that align with our expertise in IT infrastructure and system integration, particularly those undergoing significant digital transformation and modernization. South Asia, comprising neighboring countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, presents a compelling opportunity.

IT VOICE :What motivated the rebranding from MAPL WORLD to MASL WORLD, and how has it influenced the company’s strategic direction?

Varinder Singh Jawanda : The rebranding from MAPL WORLD to MASL WORLD was driven by the need to align our identity with our broader ambitions. As we move beyond being a private entity and look to scale, we needed a name that reflected our global vision and the scale of the transformation we’re driving. This rebranding directly supports our strategy of forming strategic partnerships, pursuing acquisitions, and expanding our global footprint.

IT VOICE : What strategies do you implement at MASL WORLD to foster a culture of innovation?

Varinder Singh Jawanda : At MASL World, fostering a culture of innovation is at the core of everything we do. we encourage a mindset of extreme ownership and personal responsibility, where teams aren’t afraid to challenge conventional wisdom and take bold risks. . We empower our teams to experiment, take risks, and push boundaries, knowing that failure is just part of the learning process. We emphasize a customer-obsessed mindset, always focusing on solving real-world problems with scalable, efficient solutions. Finally, we constantly invest in new technologies and remain agile, adapting to market shifts and new challenges ensuring that “innovation” is not just a checklist but it’s the way we operate every day.

IT VOICE : What challenges have you faced in driving innovation within MASL WORLD, and how have you overcome them?

Varinder Singh Jawanda : The challenges we face in driving innovation are significant, but they’re also part of the reason we’re able to push the envelope. One major issue is the rapidly evolving skill gap. The pace at which technology is advancing is unprecedented, and it’s hard to find people who have the deep expertise we need. But instead of seeing it as a problem, we see it as an opportunity to build our own talent pipeline. We invest in developing our people, bringing them up to speed with the latest technologies, and making sure they’re constantly evolving to stay ahead of the curve.

Another challenge is irrational competition, particularly in the B2G domain, It can be frustrating when policies don’t align with the pace of innovation. But we don’t let that slow us down. We focus on staying agile, thinking long-term, and finding creative ways to navigate around these obstacles while still delivering on our goals.

IT VOICE : How does MASL WORLD leverage emerging technologies like AI, IoT, or blockchain in its operations?

Varinder Singh Jawanda : We are targeting several exciting areas where emerging technologies like AI and IoT can make a transformative impact. While many of the projects you mentioned are part of our pipeline, our focus is on designing solutions that will drive efficiency, security, and scalability in critical infrastructure. For example, AI-based CCTV surveillance systems are something we’re closely engaged with, aiming to enhance public safety with smart, real-time analytics. We see a lot of potential in these kinds of projects, especially when integrated with IoT to provide continuous monitoring and predictive insights.

IT VOICE : What inspired you to start your entrepreneurial journey, and what were the key milestones?

Varinder Singh Jawanda : I started MASL with a clear vision: to build something that could power India’s digital future. The early days were about laying the foundation, partnering with giants like Intel and Microsoft, and tackling critical infrastructure projects that others weren’t focusing on. We recognized the potential for massive impact, especially in government and defense sectors, and we doubled down on delivering high-stakes, large-scale projects that could make a real difference.

As we expanded, we took on more complex projects, such as building nationwide communication networks for defense forces and smart infrastructure for education, multiple state-level IT infrastructure projects, and many more. By 2020, we had solidified our reputation and became a go-to partner for companies that needed innovation at scale.

The journey has been about identifying where technology can drive real impact and constantly scaling to meet the evolving needs of our clients. With our rebrand to MASL World, we’re now positioning ourselves to be at the center of the next wave of digital infrastructure. It’s about more than just IT, it’s about empowering businesses to leverage advanced and rapidly evolving technologies like IoT, QaaS, EaaS, HCI, and edge computing to drive transformation at a massive scale.

IT VOICE : What future trends do you see shaping the entrepreneurial and innovation landscape, and how is MASL WORLD preparing for them?

Varinder Singh Jawanda : The future of entrepreneurship and innovation is going to be defined by how well companies can leverage emerging technologies at scale. The next big wave is all about interconnectivity, systems that talk to each other, make decisions on their own, and optimize in real-time. The key will be building the infrastructure to support these technologies, and that’s where MASL World is positioning itself.

We’re also looking at innovations like Quantum-as-a-Service (QaaS), Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), and integrated ICT solutions, all of which will play a crucial role in shaping industries. Quantum computing will revolutionize data processing, and we’re preparing and positioning ourselves as system integrators to integrate QaaS into mission-critical applications. Hyper-converged infrastructure is going to be a game-changer for businesses looking for scalable, efficient, and flexible IT environments, something we’re already focusing on in several projects in our pipeline. On the ICT front, we’re focused on creating seamless, interoperable solutions that drive smarter decision-making and greater connectivity across sectors.

As the world moves towards more interconnected, autonomous systems, we’re going to be there, providing the IT infrastructure that keeps everything running smoothly, securely, and at scale.
