OPPO unveils the new A5s with a water drop screen and exceptionally long-lasting battery life

OPPO, a leading global smartphone brand today launched its latest budget friendly smartphone in India, OPPO A5s. Built with a stylish design and a long-lasting battery life, the OPPO A5s features the year’s most popular waterdrop screen, dual rear camera and runs on a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. With a robust 4230mAh battery, OPPO A5s leverages AI algorithm optimization to reduce power consumption, delivering exceptional long-lasting battery life. Priced at INR 9990, OPPO A5s comes in two variants: 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM. The 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM version is available in black and red color that went on sale from 20th April 2019. Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM will be available in green and gold color in May 2019. The OPPO A5s will be available on Amazon Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata CLiQ, PayTM Mall and all offline stores.

With a sublime 6.2-inch LCD waterdrop screen, 19:9 aspect ratio and a 1520×720-pixel resolution, OPPO A5s’ screen design draws its inspiration from a water droplet on the verge of falling. From gaming to watching videos to just plain web browsing, users can enjoy an unparalleled, immersive experience.
OPPO A5s applies a similarly meticulous design to its back cover and frames. The texture of the mirror-finish back cover offers a premium finish, while its smooth surface picks up streams of light to create a stunning visual experience. To ensure that the smooth mirror surface rests comfortably in the palm of a hand, OPPO A5s leverages. For greater visual impact, OPPO A5s also utilizes a frosted texture design for its middle frame, creating a sharp contrast with its rear mirror finish. OPPO A5s is the first smartphone launched in India which is built with a MediaTek Helio P35 processor. The MediaTek Helio P35 is an octa-core chipset built on TSMC’s advanced 12nm FinFET node. The processor is powered by IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU running up to a speedy 680MHz. The MediaTek Helio P35 is backed by a hardware depth engine that enables OPPO A5s capture professional-grade Depth of Field (Bokeh) effects which helps capture incredible results. It is also paired to the Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC), which cleverly mitigates warped (‘jello effect’) video when capturing fast action or panning.
