Oppo F5 goes on sale in India at Rs 19,990

Oppo, the Chinese smartphone maker, a week ago launched its Oppo F5 smartphone with an extended screen in India. The smartphone entered the country at Rs 19,990 price tag and is also the company’s first to come with AI support in the front camera. The smartphone went for sale in the country today for the first time.

The device is exclusively available from Flipkart with a bunch of offers. Users can buy Oppo F5 at no cost EMI option starting at Rs 1,666 per month. Regular EMI options start at Rs 970. In addition to this they can also get up to Rs 18,500 discount on exchange. Axis Bank Buzz Credit card users get extra 10% off. Furthermore, Flipkart is also offering 1 year buyback guarantee on the smartphone for the best exchange value of Rs 9,300. For this users would have to pay Rs 149 extra.

It is worth adding that the company also launched the 6GB RAM variant. But the device will be arriving in December in the country.

The highlight of the Oppo F5 is its selfie camera. The smartphone sports a 20MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera is powered with AI beauty recognition technology which can scan up to 200 facial recognition spots that helps in beautifying the selfie. Along with this, the front camera also offers bokeh effect. The ability to unlock the phone using the front camera is possible.

Oppo F5 flaunts a metal unibody and consists of a 6-inch full view display with 18:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution. The display is made scratch resistant with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The smartphone is powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P23 processor and runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system topped with Color 3.0 UI layer of the company. The hybrid dual SIM smartphone offers 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone also comes equipped with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash.

Oppo F5 comes with O-share file sharing technology which claims to make the Bluetooth file transfer 100 times faster. Measuring 156.5 x 76 x 7.5mm, the smartphone is backed by a 3200mAh battery. In terms of connectivity it offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
