Zyxel launches NWA1123-AC PRO access point in India

Taiwanese networking devices manufacturer Zyxel Communications has announced a new wireless access point in India. Dubbed NWA1123-AC PRO, the 802.11ac 3X3 dual-radio and dual-mount PoE access point is targeted at Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) environments. The device comes in White colour and is white aesthetic design and is 32mm in size.
Zyxel NWA1123-AC PRO is a plenum-rated standalone access point. It features a dual-optimized antenna and a two-way mount that allows users to mount it on ceilings or walls without any inter-floor interference. The company claims that its switchable antenna configuration enables the best-possible signal coverage, no matter how the device is installed.
The access point uses Ethernet as primary means of connectivity. However, in case it’s installed in hard-to-reach places, it can receive and rebroadcast wireless signals in repeater mode as well.
The access point features a set up wizard that lets users build a wireless network in six easy steps.
“With the NWA1123-AC PRO, we wanted to provide a solution to help smaller offices or businesses to live their wireless network to its full potential”, said Crowley Wu, Senior AVP of Zyxel’s networking business unit.
Wu further added, “It helps users boost Wi-Fi coverage like a high-tech pro”.
Earlier this year, t he company announced a 802.11ac wall-plate unified access point in India . Called WAC5302D-S, the B2B access point is aimed at hotels, campuses and business facilities. The WAC5302D-S can be mounted directly on an outlet box, wall, desktop or anywhere else without any additional kit. It also comes with built-in Ethernet and PoE ports. The device supports 802.11a/g connectivity up to 54Mbps, 802.11n up to 300Mbps and 802.11ac up to 866Mbps. It includes one uplink LAN/POE port and three down-link ports. The WAC5302D-S measures 90mmx170mmx29mm and weighs around 300g.
