5th Edition Of American Express India Leadership Academy Focuses On “Changing Leaders…Leading Change”

American Express’ global leadership program for the not-for-profit sector, the American Express Leadership Academy, kicked off its fifth edition today with the theme “Changing Leaders…Leading Change”. The five-day program will see leaders from the not-for-profit sector and senior executives from American Express address a class of 26 emerging leaders from leading NGOs across India.

The American Express Leadership Academy will provide a stage for participants and experts to participate in a trade of thoughts and aptitudes important to this gathering. Through the Academy, participants polish personal, business and leadership skills needed to run a successful non-profit enterprise in today’s complex economic climate.The class talks are upgraded by uniting trainees, non-profit leaders, and American Express’ senior administrators and the participants will get to immerse themselves in leadership training and development courses through sessions.

American Express Leadership Academy has gained consistent ground in the previous years in tending to the authority deficiency in the social part, and it has been trying to sharpen the scope and focus of the program to address the preparation needs recognized for gathering of rising leaders. In the last four years, more than 1000 high-potential emerging leaders from almost 75 non-profit organizations have benefited from the training.

The India chapter of the American Express Leadership Academy is a five-day training program created by American Express in partnership with Common Purpose. The participants represent sectors across health & sanitation, education, human rights, poverty alleviation, and vocational training.

The keynote address at the fifth American Express Leadership Academy was presented by 2015 Magsaysay Award winner and Founder CEO of Goonj, Anshu Gupta. The participants will also get to hear from Manoj Adlakha, Vice President & General Manager – Consumer Services and CEO, American Express Banking Corp., India on leadership mantras and leading industry experts like ad-professional and social commentator, Santosh Desai. Acknowledged experts from social fields and captains of industry (Bharat Petroleum, Continental Tyres, American India Foundation, INTACH, People for Animals, IICA, Central Square Foundation, Save a Life Foundation and Business and Community Foundation) will address a host of subjects.
