1. Robots Can Smile
The humanoid robot, ‘Yangyang’ was demonstrated at Global Mobile Internet Conference in Beijing in April. Yangyang can express human facial expressions. The robot is built with an intention of popularizing robotics among young generation. Yangyang is produced jointly by China’s Shanghai Yangyang Intelligent Robot Service Center and Japanese professor Hiroshi Ishiguro.

2. Drones Fly High
High flying drones were observed at the inauguration of Wall Street Journal Digital Live conference at Laguna Beach, California. Drones were flying in synchronization with attendees as they dine outside on the beach.

3. Robot That Can Cook
A kitchen friendly robot is created by Moley Robotics. This robot was demonstrated at the Hannover Messe in Honver, Germany. The conference is supposedly the world’s largest industrial technology fair. The robot was able to cook a crab soup.

4. Google Car
Google finally unveiled it’s self-driving vehicle at media preview of Google HQ in Mountain View, California. Google is putting lot of efforts in improving the technology of it’s self driving car. We can expect the public preview of this car by next year.

5. Samsung VR Headset
Samsung finally joined the VR race by launching Gear VR headsets. The company is working along with Oculus on development of Gear headsets. The headset was showcased at Hollywood, California in September.
