Following teasers, Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy A14 5G and Galaxy A23 5G, two new 5G smartphones in the A series, in India. This month, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A14 5G, which has a 6.6-inch FHD+ 90Hz screen and is powered by the Dimensity 700 SoC.
The Snapdragon 695 SoC-powered Galaxy A23 5G was unveiled in August of last year. It has a 6.6-inch FHD+ 120Hz screen. For the Galaxy A23 5G, these contain a 5000mAh battery with 25W rapid charging and up to 8GB of additional virtual RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G sports a 6.6-inch (1080 x 2408 pixels) FHD+ Infinity-V LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 700 7nm processor (Dual 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 + Hexa 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs) with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It also sports 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB storage expandable memory up to 1TB with microSD and is powered by Android 13 with OneUI 5.0.
The phone features Dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD), 50MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 2MP depth and 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with a 3.5mm audio jack.
The dimensions of the device are 167.7 x 78.0 x 9.1mm and it weighs 205g. As for connectivity, the device comes with 5G SA/ NSA (N1, N3, N5, N7, N8, N20, N28, N40, N41, N78 bands), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and also features USB Type-C along with 5000mAh (typical) battery with 15W fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G comes with a 6.6-inch (2400 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ Infinity-V LCD screen and is powered by the Octa Core Snapdragon 695 8nm processor (2.2GHz x 2+1.8GHz x 6 Kryo 560 CPUs) with Adreno 619L GPU. It also comes along with 6GB / 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, expandable memory up to 1TB with microSD and features Dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD). The phone is powered by Android 13 with OneUI 5.
As for the camera, it sports a 50MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, LED flash, 5MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture along with a 8MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The phone also sports a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor and has a dimension of 165.4 x 76.9 x 8.4mm, while weighing 197g.
As for connectivity, the phone features 5G SA/ NSA (N1, N3, N5, N7, N8, N28, N40, N41, N78 bands), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou. It comes along with USB Type-C coupled with 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
