OnePlus will soon deliver the OnePlus 11 5G and OnePlus 11R 5G smartphones. However, OnePlus is also providing the OnePlus Keyboard and the OnePlus Pad, two firsts for the firm, in addition to the smartphones. OnePlus undoubtedly appears to be focusing on producing not only smartphones but also other technological products, and if a recent leak is to be believed, the company may soon introduce its first-ever foldable gadgets. According to tipper Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), OnePlus will soon release classic (horizontal) folding smartphones as well as clamshell foldable devices.
Sharma claims that in addition to more “normal” smartphones, tablets, and other products, OnePlus plans to release foldables. The company may soon release folding cellphones in both the vertical and horizontal orientations, claims the insider. This should ideally not surprise anyone given OPPO has already entered the foldable smartphone market with its Find N series.
Sharma has also posted an image of a few trademark applications that appear to have just been filed by OnePlus to back up his claim. The picture suggests that OnePlus may choose to use the names OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip for its foldable smartphones. Sadly, no details regarding the capabilities and traits of either of these gadgets have been made public.
This is perhaps the first time the subject has been discussed in headlines since OnePlus made fun of a foldable phone in jokes back in 2022. The OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip will be sold later this year, even though there isn’t a set release date yet.
