Vikas Gupta :- What kind of distribution network you are planning?
Mr. Kapil Wadhwa :- We are selling our products through distribution channels. For the New Year, we have charted out an ambitious plan of establishing partnerships with a large number of distributors that meet our company’s long term goals.To achieve our sales targets and to face the growing competition we are also running aggressive marketing campaign.
Vikas Gupta :- How big is the mobile market in India? How Champion is positioned in Indian market?
Mr. Kapil Wadhwa :- The mobile phone market in India is expected to grow by 4% to 250 million units this year and the growing market can witness more handsets to be launched in affordable price range in the year 2016. Champion is currently counted among one of the has brought various innovative products to the Indian market in the year 2015 and since now our manufacturing process is completely stabilized with mega production capacity we will continue to rock the market with registering outstanding growth in the year 2016 as well.
Vikas Gupta :- How are you able to make the product so cheaply?
Mr. Kapil Wadhwa :- Since we have our own manufacturing facility with our manufacturing process completely stabilize, we are already capable of mega production very conveniently and so we are easily able to make the product economical than most of the other leading brands in this segment in the country.
Vikas Gupta :- What are Plans for Champion in 2016? Are you planning to come up with any unprecedented marketing initiative this year?
Mr. Kapil Wadhwa :- Champion has brought various innovative products to the market in the year 2015 and since our manufacturing process is now completely stabilized with mega production capacity, we will continue to rock the market with registering outstanding growth in the year 2016.Champion has already been launching new models in the market every month and this trend shall continue in 2016 as well. Simultaneously our competitive market initiatives will also continue in the new year.
Vikas Gupta :- What kind of strategy have you planned to position Champion product successfully in the market?
Mr. Kapil Wadhwa :- We have registered excellent sales in tier-II and III cities due to our unique product line in the year 2015 on the back of our competitive marketing strategies which will continue in the year 2016 as well. We have already lined up a range of exclusive product line to be launched under the wide umbrella of Champion in the first half of 2016 to position it successfully in the market.
Vikas Gupta :- What is the prime focus of Champion today? What are some of the top priorities for the Company?
Mr. Kapil Wadhwa :- Currently Champion is focused at establishing its footprints in Tier-II and III markets in the country. Among the top priorities for the company include its capacity expansion with keeping the focus intact over R&D so that we would be able to launch several innovative products in this segment in the market in the new year.
Vikas Gupta :- What are the new challenges that you face in relation to the Indian market?
Mr. Kapil Wadhwa :- Indian mobile phone industry is passing through a transition period from regular phones to sleek and multi-purpose Smartphones and in both these segments several new players have entered the Indian market which have definitely posed the new challenges for the established players like us. However, to meet these challenges Champion is all set to unveil its pioneering product-line for the astute buyers in the Indian market.
