ITVoice Media:- As digital technologies and digitization is gaining more foothold in India with the government of the day actively promoting these, what opportunities you see in this sphere?
Mr. Sunil Grewal:- An increasing number of enterprises, city administrators, and PSUs (public sector undertakings) across India are making the most of the government’s focus on and support for digitization. They are implementing the concept in various spheres of their operations
In this context, for companies like GIGABYTE in the IT sector, systematic digitisation brings forth a huge business opportunity – especially in the non-metro regions.
ITVoice Media:- There an increasing demand in India for high-performance, high-end PC systems. How has been GIGABYTE India’s experience in this segment?
Mr. Sunil Grewal:- A. Since the last few years, there is an increasing demand for in India high-performance PC systems from user categories like graphics / animation studios, film / TV production houses, and professional gamers, among others. This increase in demand for high-end motherboards is also witnessed in Tier 2 and 3 cities.
In addition to formally educating our channel partners on our high-end motherboards, we have recently started formal engagements with the users of high-end motherboards.
In this context, we recently organized a ‘Designer PC Seminar’ for professionals in the graphics animation; CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing); web designing / development; photography, filmmaking, and entertainment software production segments.
The objective was to lay bare, among the discerning creative professionals, the latest DiY (Do it Yourself) PC hardware technologies that play a decisive role in enhancing their output and in turn, their customers’ experience.
GIGABYTE has currently a number of motherboard models for the high-end user segment, a few of which are GA-Z170X-Designare, GA-X99-Designare EX, GA-Z170X-Gaming 7, GA-Z170X-Ultra Gaming, and GA-X99-Ultra Gaming.
ITVoice Media:- What would be the challenges that follow in the next few years?
Mr. Sunil Grewal:- For the PC components business, the biggest challenge is the availability of refurbished PC components. This usually results in delaying the process of shifting to next generation CPUs, while also making the quality of components more vulnerable. To meet this challenge, we focus our sales and marketing initiatives around our extensive variety of good performance products, and also ensure that these are available to the consumers at the most desirable performance / price ratio.

Mr. Sunil Grewal:- We stand out from competition because of the innovative technologies built into our motherboards, widest range of product variety, world-class after-sales services, constant marketing support, and focus on channel profitability.
