Q)- How will you describe the journey from being an importer to owing your branded products?

Mr. Anil Daryani)- The journey from an importer to a brand owner has been like a roller coaster ride; challenging but most enjoyable. It has given us a chance to ride through the immensely complex learning curve involving different rules and regulations, tricks of the trade, market dynamics etc. We have to agree that being a Brand Owner gives us a sense of independence and complete power to call the shots. It makes us the final deciding authority while deciding product offerings, pricing strategy as well as rewards. And above all the Satisfaction that comes from a word of appreciation from the loyal customers who become a part of the family is superior.

Q)- Kunhar has developed great geographical in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa. What kind of geographical expansion are you looking forward to in new financial year?

Mr. Anil Daryani)-KPPL has a strong hold in the Western India region with 15 plus locations.  Currently present in Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Karnataka states we wish to expand in the Telangana, Semmandara and Tamil Nadu regions by the end of the year, ensuring a strong base in Southern India, while further strengthening our base in Western India.

Q)- Please throw some light on the USP of the brand “PowerSafe”.

Q)- What are the different channel and marketing initiatives that have been planned for 2014-15 to educate the target audience about the product line?

Mr. Anil Daryani)-With various channel initiatives in the pipeline, the focus is primarily on increase the channel base not just in Western India but also the Southern Markets where we wish to geographically expand. The channel activities will ensure demand generation and more business for the partners as well as ingrain the most important value of ethical business practice. As far as marketing initiatives are concerned, below the line marketing activities are being planned which will increase visibility of the brands and products on retail and channel shelves, Press Coverage and Product reviews would ensure greater awareness and assist us in reaching more number of customers.

Q)- Do you have plans to enter the e-commerce business for your products?

Mr. Anil Daryani)- Not presently. But we do have few partners who manage this part of our business.

Q)- With competition increasing in this segment, service in addition will play an important role to maintain the brand name of the company? Please comment.

Mr. Anil Daryani)- Service has played a key role for Kunhar since inception. Having invested in service infrastructure right from day one, regular upgrades in our system have helped us significantly reduce the replacement/service call time to a great extent. Kunhar is well known for the service backup in the Western regions. Investment in Service Infrastructure is of utmost importance and one of the USP of Kunhar Peripherals.
