Amtrak has created its extra-ordinary range of tablets with the purpose of not just presenting a box, but a package to make the best use of it, and so that its users have a ‘like-never-before tablet experience’. 
IT Voice team interviewed the Mr. Sandeep Arya, Chairman, Amtrak Infosystems Pvt. Ltd and discussed about the marketing initiatives lined up for their tablet series. 
Shweta) What is your present focus of operations in India?
Mr. Arya ) Currently, our prime focus is Tablet PCs. Amtrak Info System, which is a part of a 21 years old Amtrak group, began its operations last year in 2012 with the idea of launching tablet PCs in the Indian market which were not just simple boxes, but with some remarkable distinction points. Our main USP is the content features that we are offering in our distinctive range of tablet models apart from being at par to the hardware technology available in the market.
Shweta) Are you planning to launch new products in India in the near future? Please throw some light on the strategy that will be aligned around the launch.
Mr. Arya) We are very keen to bring out new devices in the market very soon after our recent success with the Education series – My Class Buddy. Giving some idea and following the trend, our upcoming models will also be packed with very unique and distinctive features of content into them, which differentiate our devices from the other tablet PCs.
Shweta) What is your channel policy in India? What kind of channel expansion are you looking for in the near future?
Mr. Arya)  We are following the traditional and new-age channel strategies by being available at leading telecom, IT stores, along with that, we are also available at leading Stationary outlets with our Education tablet models – My Class Buddy.
Currently, catering to 15 state distributors, covering close to 75 district distributors, and this is being a gradual process, in the next 6 months, we expect to be operational in all major towns pan India.
Shweta)  How different is an Amtrak product vis-à-vis products from key competitors?
Amtrak’s range of tablets is designed keeping in mind the aspirations of having a high-end tablet, and making it available at an affordable range. We like to differentiate ourselves in terms of the quality we are offering and the experience a customer gets with our tab.

Amtrak has specifically designed some of its remarkable features, most of which are not present with any other in the entry-level tablet segment.
Shweta) What is your roadmap for the next two years in India?
Mr. Arya) The next 2 years seem to be very promising with the kind of response and appreciation we are getting presently. We would like to continue the pace of our excitement and enthusiasm in creating unique and distinctive concepts for the Tablet seekers. Our trend has been to identify the requirements of users and crafting for them an exclusive solution.
For the next two years, our strategy will revolve around identifying new opportunities in amazing the users in collaboration with the upcoming technology. We foresee, in the tablet PC space, there will be a union of our mobile phones and computers to an extent that its accessibility will totally revolutionize.
