Xiaomi Mi5 To Arrive In January 2015

Xaiomi had announced about its $1.1 billion funding round, which makes xiomi bannedthe valuation of the company to reach at $45 billion. While revealing about the funding round, Bin Lin disclosed in a statement that the company would unveil its next flagship device by next month.

Lin stated in the post, “In January 2015, we will be unveiling our next flagship device.” However Lin didn’t disclose the exact date of arrival of the smartphone. But a GizChina report claims that the company is planning to launch the device as early as 15 January.

As far as features of the smartphone are concerned, Xiaomi Mi 5 sports 14.48-cm (5.7-inch) QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display and is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 430 GPU.

It comes with a 20.7 MP rear camera along with Sony Exmor sensor and a fingerprint scanner. Also, according to the reports, the Chinese company may also reveal a couple of other devices as well with in the next three weeks. The list may involve successors to Redmi 1S, Redmi Note or even Mi Pad.

The Mi Pad successor is expected to come with 20.06-cm (7.9-inch) screen, 2GB of RAM, along with the chipset of Intel this time. Whereas the successor of Redmi 1S is expected to sport 11.94-cm (4.7-cm) inch HD display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB RAM.
