Xiaomi Mi Router 3C gets a price cut in India

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched its Mi Router 3C in India in May this year. Launched at Rs 1,119, the Wi-Fi router has got a temporary price cut of Rs 200. This means that the router will now be available at Rs 999. The price cut is valid only for this week and the customers can purchase the device from Mi.Com, Flipkart and Amazon India website.
The Mi Router 3C is Xiaomi’s first smart router in India. It can be controlled via the companion Mi Wi-Fi smartphone app.
The router is equipped with four high-performance antennas, each with a dedicated PCB circuit. It has a 2-transmit, 2-receive antenna design, which the company claims improves Wi-Fi range.
The device has 64MB of RAM and offers wireless speeds of 300Mbps. It can connect with up to 64 devices at the same time, including 20 computing devices and 44 IoT devices.
The companion Mi Wi-Fi app enables easy setup and network management. It provides easy access to real-time monitoring of bandwidth usage. Pre-configured guest sharing of Wi-Fi passwords and parental controls can be done as well.
Recently, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone also got a price cut in India. The 3GB RAM version was until now priced at Rs 10,999 while the 4GB RAM version was priced at Rs 12,999.
However, the company’s vice president, Manu Kumar Jain, has tweeted that both the variants have received Rs 1,000 permanent price cut. This makes the 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM versions priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively. He has tweeted that the new variants are available from Mi.com website and Flipkart.
