Vivo Y21L With 4G VoLTE Launched At Rs 7490 In India
Vivo has expanded its portfolio of budget smartphones in India with the launch of Vivo Y21L at Rs 7,490. The budget smartphone is 4G VoLTE-enabled and is available in White and Grey colour variants.
The smartphone features a 4.5-inch FWVGA 854×480 pixels resolution display and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, clubbed with 1GB RAM. On the storage front, the smartphone comes with a 16GB inbuilt storage. However, this shouldn’t be an issue as the smartphone also supports microSD card up to 128GB.
The Vivo Y21L sports a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera alongside features like Palm Capture and Voice Capture. The company claims that the Palm Capture feature takes photos as soon as the user shows his/her palm to the camera. The smartphone automatically takes pictures the moment the user says “Cheese”, courtesy the Voice Capture feature.
Some of the other features included in the budget smartphone are Smart Wake and Smart Click. While the Smart Click lets users customize the interface or open apps directly from the volume buttons, the Smart Wake lets user directly fire up apps like Facebook or Music by swiping “F” and “M”.
The smartphone runs FunTouch OS 2.5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is backed by a 2000mAh battery.
“We are pleased to offer the new Y21L packed with 4G VoLTE technology to our Indian customers at an affordable price of Rs 7,490. With this device, we reassure our commitment to offer quality products to our valued customers”, said Vivek Zhang, CMO, Vivo India during the launch of the smartphone.
Recently, Qualcomm announced that it has entered into a 3G and 4G Chinese Patent License Agreement with Vivo Communication Technology Co. Under the terms of the agreement, Qualcomm has granted vivo a royalty-bearing patent license to develop, manufacture and sell 3G WCDMA and CDMA2000 and 4G LTE (including “3-mode” GSM, TD-SCDMA and LTE-TDD) complete devices for use in China.
