Tinder, a US based dating app has spread its operations to India with Taru Kapoor as the head of operations. Taru Kapoor will establish Tinder’s brand presence in India. She will steer user’s growth and increase their engagement by focussing on the user’s needs.
Tinder’s CEO Rad stated about the appointment that “We have exciting plans for Tinder in 2016 and having Taru on board is a step towards making India one of our core markets. Taru ‘s passion for Tinder and understanding of the Indian market makes us even more confident in our plans to expand in India.”
Taru Kapoor stated that being associated with the Tinder brand is exciting as well as challenging. Tinder exists as the market leader in India without any substantial efforts being made in the past hence, its potential in the future is going to be astounding. She said that she was excited about bringing the brand to India which is known to be the largest, most dynamic and vibrant population of the world.
Taru Kapoor graduated from Harvard in MBA. She has wide experience in business development, product and growth strategy and financial modelling and planning as she was earlier working with The Boston Consulting Group and Sequoia Capital India.
