Samsung starts seeding Android 7.1.1 Nougat to Indian Galaxy C9 Pro users

Samsung has started seeding Android 7.1.1 Nougat to the Galaxy C9 Pro, one of its first smartphones to come with 6GB RAM. The update has reached to users in India according to Sammobile.
Android 7.1.1 Nougat brings a bunch of obvious features it has built-in. In addition, the update also includes some of its own tweaks with the Experience 8.5 such as the inclusion of Samsung Cloud, improved Device Manager application and a dedicated shutter button zooming for the camera client.
It has been mentioned that the update is incremental so all the Galaxy C9 Pro smartphones won’t get it at once. Users can check for the update by navigating through Settings, select About Device, then tap Download Updates Manually.
For those unaware, Android 7.1.1 Nougat comes with new set of emojis that represent gender equality. “We included gender counterparts for emoji that previously only had male or female representation. Now there are female welders and men getting haircuts,” said Google at the time of roll out back in December last year. There are some new emojis as well.
The OS version brings app shortcuts directly from your home screen. It lets users jump to conversation threads directly from the home screen or windows like composing tweets or more.
Samsung launched its Galaxy C9 Pro in India back in January at Rs 39,990. Right now, it can be purchased for around Rs 29,990 from e-commerce websites.
The Galaxy C9 Pro has a 6-inch display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution and weighs 189gm. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC, the smartphone has a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, phase detection autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. There’s a 16MP unit on the front as well.
The dual-SIM C9 Pro runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and offers 4G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and Wi-Fi as connectivity options. It’s backed by a 4,000mAh battery
