Samsung sees its best Note pre-orders with the Galaxy Note 8 in US

South Korean tech giant Samsung has revealed that it has received a record-breaking number of pre-orders for its latest Galaxy Note 8. The company announced that more people in the US have purchased the Galaxy Note 8 than previous Samsung Note phones during the same time period, even though Samsung didn’t reveal exact pre-sale numbers.

“We’re thrilled to see the strong consumer response to the next level Note,” said Tim Baxter, said president and chief executive officer, Samsung Electronics North America. “Today’s consumers want to do bigger things in work and life, and Note helps make that possible. We built the Galaxy Note8 for people who desire a device that lets them be productive and allows for self-expression.”

The Note 8 went live in US on August 24 and is set to hit store shelves in the US and UK on September 15.

The Galaxy Note 8 is set to enter India in India on September 12, the same day when Apple is unveiling its next iPhone, likely to be called iPhone 8 or iPhone X.

Late last week, the company started taking registrations for the top-end smartphone on its India website ( ). A ‘pre-registration’ button greets users right on the home page, just below the Galaxy Note 8 banner.

One of the company’s most expensive smartphone launched so far (US pricing starts at $930), Galaxy Note 8 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out of the box.
