Samsung launches portable SSD T5 price starting at Rs 13,500

Samsung Electronics has launched an all new portable memory drive, the Samsung Portable SSD T5. Designed especially for content creators, business and IT professionals as well as mainstream consumers the device ensures instant, easy access to data. Weighing only about 51 grams, the SSD T5 measures at 3.0 x 2.3 x 0.4 inches and is as small as a business card.

The device has an internal shock-resistant frame that can withstand accidental drop of up to 2 meters. The software for Samsung Portable SSD T5 for both Windows and Mac has the AES 256-bit data encryption which also makes it easier to configure settings. The device will also get the latest firmware and software update, the company claims.

The sleek and portable chassis holds some new updated features such as faster speed which reaches up to 540MB/s. The reduced size and design will allow users to access up to 2TB of data and AES 256-bit data encryption ensures more data protection. It comes bundled with an app for Android users for smartphones and tablets for further convenience. It comes with USB Type C support for better, faster and easier data transfer across devices.

The T5 will be available in two metal finishes; Deep Black and Alluring Blue in both 1TB and 2TB storage capacities. It was made available at major retail outlets from August 28 with prices starting from Rs 13,500 for the 250GB variant, Rs 21,000 for 500GB variant, Rs 40,000 for 1TB variant and Rs 80,000 for 2TB variant.
