Samsung launches Notebook 7 Spin (2018) with 360-degree touch screen at CES 2018

Samsung has not just made several announcements around TVs but has also taken the wraps off its new line of ‘Notebook’ laptops. Coming almost a month after the launch of Samsung Notebook 9 (2018), the South Korean tech giant has this time announced its Notebook 7 Spin (2018). For all what we know so far is that this piece of hardware will be making its debut in the US starting Q1 this year. The price of the laptop has been kept under wraps for now.
Sporting a 360-degree rotating touch screen display, Samsung Notebook 7 Spin (2018) also supports an Active Pen for easy note taking. To make the content secure, Samsung has even thrown in a fingerprint log-in based on Windows Hello. Some of the other features mentioned by the firm for the Notebook 7 Spin (2018) include Voice Notes, backlit keyboard and the Studio Plus app that lets users produce personalized movies.
As for the specifications, the Windows 10-based hybrid laptop boasts a 13.3-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution PLS screen. You get the latest processor under the hood in the form of an 8th generation Intel Core i5 SoC alongside an 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage.
The Metal clad laptop weighs 1.5 kgs and measures 315.8×215.4×18.5mm. It has a VGA camera on board along with some connectivity features such as USB Type-C, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port and HDMI. It is backed by a 43Whr battery.
This is the second Samsung ‘Notebook’ PC to get refreshed within a month. The first was the Notebook 9 (2018), which too is being showcased at CES conference. The refreshed Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) lineup includes three models in addition to a new 2-in-1 model, called as the Samsung Note 9 Pen. Samsung says all four Notebook 9 PCs will be coming to the US in Q1 this year.
