Samsung Galaxy S5 To Be Mass Produced From Jan

Thursday, November 28, 2013:  In the latest rumours about the Samsung Galaxy S5, the South Korean smartphone giant is reportedly planning to start mass production of the device from January 2014. It was earlier rumoured that the company would be announcing the device in January 2014 to make up for lacklustre sales of the Galaxy S4 flagship device. The device is expected to be launched in February or March next year.

Further, according to ET News, Samsung is planning to develop two variants of its next flagship device. One of these will have a metal body and curved display, while the other will have a plastic body with a non flexible display.

The Galaxy S5 smartphone is also expected to come with Samsung’s first 64-bit processor Exynos octa core processor. In addition, it is supposedly going to have a 16 mega pixel ISOCELL camera and 4 GB of RAM. The device will be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery and will run the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. It will have a 12.7-cm (5-inch) display.

Reports say that Samsung will be producing between 800,000 and 1 million units of its next flagship device. This is then expected to rise to 8-10 million by March next year. The company will also be announcing the next edition for its Galaxy Gear smartwatch with the Galaxy S5 smartphone.
