Samsung Galaxy Note 8 price, launch details and specifications leaked

Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the upcoming flagship phablet by South Korean tech firm, will have a lot riding on its shoulders, given last year’s Note 7 debacle.

Although Samsung has not yet revealed anything about the device (except for its eminent arrival), some new leaks have pointed towards information such as launch date, price and features.

The piece of information comes from a report by VentureBeat website. The website states that that Galaxy Note 8 could be priced around EUR 900 (roughly Rs 72,000). It has been further mentioned that Samsung has mentioned the price of the phablet to its partners.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is said to come with a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED ‘Infinity Display ‘ that will have the same aspect ratio as Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Another highlight of the phablet is said to be its dual rear camera setup, something that has been rumoured for quite some time.

The report adds that the smartphone will be unveiled in the second half of September and like its other Galaxy Note siblings, will come with an S-Pen stylus.

Furthermore, Galaxy Note 8 with either come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or an Exynos 8895 SoC, based on the market. It’ll also have 6GB of RAM, making it the third Samsung smartphone (after Galaxy S8+ 6GB edition and Galaxy C9 Pro) to have this much amount of RAM.

It’s also been mentioned that the smartphone will sport a 3,300mAh battery. As for the software, Note 8 could let users operate on split-screen mode more easily than before. It might also be able to pin handwritten notes onto the Always-On display feature. Samsung Dex support is said to be included as well. The phablet could come in Black, Blue and Gold colours.
