Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) listed for pre-order by online retailers ahead of launch

Samsung’s yet-to-be-announced Galaxy J5 (2017) smartphone, which recently showed up in a video, has now been listed by some third-party German websites. The listing(s) detail the smartphone’s design and specifications, which have already been subject of numerous leaks. They also mention the price and shipping dates of the Galaxy J5 (2017).
According to the Cyberport e-retailer’s website, the dual-SIM Galaxy J5 (2017) version carrying model number J530FD, has a price tag of 279 Euros. The shipping date has been mentioned as June 22.
Otto, another online retailer, says that the Galaxy J5 (2017) will start shipping by the end of this month.
As per recent leaks, Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is expected to come with a 5.2-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution, Exynos 7870 octa-core SoC, 2GB of RAM, 13MP front and back cameras, and a 3,000mAh battery.
Its elder sibling – Galaxy J7 (2017) – which hasn’t been launched either, will likely have a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution. Other expected specifications include an Exynos 7870 octa-core SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP cameras on the front and back, and a 3,600mAh battery.
Both Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) are likely to come with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and sport fingerprint sensors.
As seen in the review video posted on YouTube few days ago, both Galaxy handsets seem to be made out of metal with a new antenna design at the back. Both also have a vertical, capsule-shaped enclosure at the back, which includes the camera and LED flash.
Talking about the Galaxy J Series, Samsung launched upgraded versions of its Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime smartphones in India last month. The new handsets have identical specifications as their predecessors. The only difference is in internal storage, which is twice (32GB) that of the earlier versions. While the refreshed Galaxy J7 Prime costs Rs 16,900, the refreshed Galaxy J5 Prime has a price tag of Rs 14,900. Both can be purchased from Samsung’s own website.
