Opera Rolls Out Its Android Update, Supports Tablet Now

eof6111131AM11212013Opera has announced an update to its browser app for Android along with tablet user-interface and bug-fixes. The update is based on Chromium 31. Opera’s version 18 for Android is now available for download via Google Play.

Johan Schon, SVP for Mobile Consumer Browsers, Opera Software wrote in a blog post, “We poured a great deal of thought into the Opera for Android tablet version. The size of devices and mindset of users make the tablet very different from its smaller cousin, the smartphone, and we have to respect that. In Opera 18 for Android, we have spent hours and hours tweaking, and fiddling with the placement of, even the minute details, just to get that top tablet feel.”

Opera for Android comes with features like Discover, Speed Dial and Off-Road mode, which simplifies access to content easier.
