OnePlus 5 ‘Mint Gold’ colour variant hinted in Tenaa listing

Last week, OnePlus launched its latest flagship smartphone – OnePlus 5. The handset is available in Slate Grey and Midnight Black colour options, which means that potential buyers who want the smartphone in brighter colours are out of luck.

However, this could change soon, as a ‘Mint Gold’ variant of OnePlus 5 has been spotted on Chinese certification website Tenaa.

The above-mentioned variant is listed alongside two other colour options – ‘Stars Black’ and ‘Gun Grey’ – which could be different names of ‘Midnight Black’ and ‘Slate Grey’ colour variants as well.

OnePlus has not yet revealed if the ‘Mint Gold’ version even exists or not.

It’s worth noting that OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 are already available in ‘ colour. This variant was launched a month after the launch of smartphones.

OnePlus was in the spotlight this past week, as the Chinese company launched its OnePlus 5 smartphone in the US and UK (on June 20), and India (June 22). The handset is available in two configurations – 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage – priced at Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999 respectively. Both are exclusive to Amazon India.

Made using Anodized aluminium, OnePlus 5 comes with a ‘new’ design as compared to the OnePlus 3T. One of the highlights of the smartphone is the inclusion of a dual rear camera setup.

While the primary rear camera is used to shoot wide angle shots, the secondary camera has a telephoto zoom lens and lets users shoot images from long distances. It also plays an important part in the ‘Depth Effect’ feature, something we have seen with the iPhone 7 Plus.

OnePlus 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and runs Oxygen OS 4.5 based on Android 7.1.1. Other features include a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED screen and a 3,300mAh battery.
