Nokia 9 appears on GeekBench, to come with Snapdragon 835 SoC and 4GB RAM Gadgets Now Bureau | Updated: Jun 2, 2017, 03.49 PM IST

HMD Global, the Finnish company that holds exclusive rights to manufacture Nokia -branded smartphones, is reportedly planning on launching a new flagship smartphone. Likely to be called Nokia 9, the yet-to-be-announced handset, has appeared on Geek Bench benchmarking website.
As per the listing, the smartphone is will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor and have 4GB of RAM.
Recently, some new images of the rumoured Nokia 9 also surfaced online. First spotted by Frandroid website, the images hint at some of the expected hardware specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
The images don’t reveal much, since the smartphone itself is encased in a Blue-coloured shell. However, they show that the device will sport a dual-rear camera setup with LED flash. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right
Nokia 9 is said to sport a 5.3-inch QHD display of 1440×2560 pixel resolution. The display is expected to offer 530-nits of brightness and will come with an ‘Always On’ feature. It is also expected to have a physical Home button, along with an embedded fingerprint sensor placed below the display.
The shared images further suggest that the smartphone will have a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Likely to run Android 7.1 out-of-the-box, the smartphone is expected to have 64GB of internal storage. The price is expected to be around $700.
Recently, HMD Global launched the 2017 version of its ‘legendary’ Nokia 3310 phone in India. The feature phone has a best-buy price of Rs 3,310 and is available across top mobile stores in Yellow, Grey, Blue and Red colour variants.
