Nokia 9 allegedly leaked on Geekbench

MD Global, the Finnish company that holds exclusive licence to manufacture Nokia-branded phones, has largely been tight-lipped tight lipped after the launch of four phones – Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the ‘new’ Nokia 3310 – earlier this year.
But if a recent report is to be believed, the company might soon be planning to launch a new flagship smartphone, likely to be called ‘Nokia 9’.
A yet-to-be-announced smartphone was recently spotted on GeekBench, bearing the name ‘Unknown Heart’. The leak details some key specifications of the smartphone, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM.
If the above two specifications are indeed true, it’s certain that the upcoming Nokia smartphone will be a flagship one and compete against this year’s high-end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The listing further states that the smartphone will run Android 7.1.1 OS out-of-the-box.
An earlier had suggested that Nokia 9 will come with 4GB of RAM. It has also been reported that the smartphone will have a 5.3-inch QHD display of 1440×2560 pixel resolution and 530nits brightness. It’s also expected to have a physical Home button with an embedded fingerprint sensor.
Other likely features of the Nokia 9 include 64GB of internal storage, dual-camera setup at the back, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack.
Recently, HMD Global launched the 2017 avatar of Nokia’s legendary 3310 feature phone. Priced at Rs 3,310, the new 3310 runs Series 30+ operating system and features a 2.4-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) display. The phone is available across top mobile stores in Yellow, Grey, Blue and Red colour variants.
