Microsoft to launch Surface Book 2 in India later this year

Microsoft has announced that its 2-in-1 detachable Surface Book 2 will be coming to India later this year. The company has revealed that will be launching the device in 17 different markets across the world, the list also includes India. The customers can pre-book the Surface Book 2 starting today in countries like Australia, Canada, France, Germany and Britain.

In an official blog post the company said, “Later in the year, 13-inch and 15-inch Surface Book 2 will be rolled out to China, Hong Kong and India, among others.” The device promise to offer powerful processing and graphics power required to run heavy applications.

The detachable 2-in-1 offers support for Surface Pen with tilt and 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. Like its predecessor, Surface Book 2 can instantly transform from a laptop to a digital canvas to a sleek tablet, unleashing your creativity.

The company claims that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 can deliver up to 17 hours of battery backup with the 15-inch version, which is five times more as compared to the original Surface Book. The device supports two full-size USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, USB Type-C post, 3.5mm headphone jack, 2 Surface Connect ports and an SD Card reader.

Other features include Windows Hello face authentication front-facing 5MP camera. At the back, there is an 8MP camera. Users also get front-facing Dolby Audio speakers. Surface Book 2 models can be used in as many as four modes — Laptop mode, Tablet mode, Studio Mode and View mode.
