Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70, Tab 2 A8, and Ideapad Miix 300 Launched at MWC 2015

Both the tablets are based on Android operating system and will be available in Q2 this year

Lenovo is banking big on its tablets’ line-up for the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2015. The company has launched two Android-based tablets in its Tab 2 line-up. Lenovo has launched Tab 2 A8 and A10-70 tablet devices at MWC 2015. Both the tablets are based on Android operating system and will be available in Q2 this year.The technical specifications of Lenovo Tab 2 A8 include a 20.32-cm (8-inch) HD IPS display screen, 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The tablet PC runs on latest Android 5.0 aka Android Lollipop operating system. The Lenovo Tab 2 A8 comes with a 4290 mAh battery, 8/16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

The second tablet launched by the company, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 features a 25.6-cm (10.1-inch) full HD IPS display. It runs on 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and packs 2GB of RAM. The tablet is powered by Android 4.4 aka KitKat operating system. The company has announced that the tablet will get its dose of Android 5.0 Lollipop in June. It is juiced up by a 7000 mAh battery and packs 16B of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot.

The tablet PCs will be offered in both Wi-Fi and 4G LTE variants and offer support Dolby Atmos technology. In a press statement, Jeff Meredith, vice president and general manager, Tablets, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo, said, “Our new tablets prove that affordability and innovation can be synonymous. In particular, bringing LTE speed and Dolby Atmos cinema sound is expected in premium devices, but we have challenged the norm and delivered these consumer-desired features to our entry A Series in order to elevate the mobile connected experience.”

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 will be available starting April for $199 for Wi-Fi-only models and $279 for 4G LTE models. While, the Tab 2 A8 will be available in June starting $129 for Wi-Fi-only models and $179 for 4G LTE models.
