Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah To Open TAB 2013 – SME Conference

BL10_KER_SIDDAH_1452777gThe Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah will be inaugurating TAB 2013 – the SME Conference, taking place on August 23rd 2013 at the ITC Gardenia in Bangalore.

The exclusive gathering is hosted by the Indo-Arab Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Confianza Integrated Communications (P) Ltd. and brings together up to 250 small and medium enterprise owners, prospective entrepreneurs, and individuals who are looking to carve a niche for themselves in the GCC countries with regards to trade and business opportunities, as well as entrepreneurs who are looking to expand their setup in India.

The Executive Director of the Indo Arab Chamber of Commerce, Asif Iqbal quoted “We are extremely delighted that our Honorable Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah has agreed to inaugurate the TAB 2013 event on the 23rd of August, 2013 at Bangalore. This is a huge fillip to our efforts to bring SMEs from both sides of the shores together. It also underlines the importance of Trade between India and Arab Countries. IACC represents the socio-economic policies of Government by emphasizing on job creation at all levels of income stratum and diffusion of economic power; by accepting our invitation the Chief Minister has endorsed the very fundamentals of the IACC”

The conference will focus on two major issues concerning the SMEs’ in India: Technology and competence. Influential leaders will feature from the economic and business sectors, keynote addresses, workshops and panel sessions that will deliver compelling discussions aimed at understanding industry dynamics to uncover the massive expansion and investment opportunities and address underlying issues for SMEs in India who would like to set up or expand their businesses in the Middle East.

Madhu Kiran – Director, Business Advocacy – Indo Arab Chamber of Commerce stated “The trade scope between Arabic Countries and India needs further exploration; the concentration has been limited to fewer products and lines of business; through the IACC, we want to promote SME organisations to explore hitherto untapped market segments by providing them a proper guidance and nurturing the entrepreneurial spirits, innovation to make them globally competitive”

India and Arab world share lot of commonalities with respect to Culture, Food Habits and Trade as with India, the Arab Countries also have a young working population, through our efforts we want to bridge the Talent Gaps by helping cross border exchange programs and knowledge sharing amongst our members

While Indian SMEs have high enthusiasm and inherent ability to grow, we also suffer from things like Human Capital Obsolescence, Technical deficiency, Increased Market Competition, Changing Economic Policies, Funds Shortage, etc., it will be our sincere effort to eliminate such hurdles at IACC
