Google To Open Biggest Office Outside US in Hyderabad

google-play-logo-300x79Hyderabad has managed to woo tech giant Google to open its first office in India, edging past other Indian cities and making it the biggest facility outside the US.
A memorandum of understanding has been signed by Google and the Telangana government. The government has allotted 7 acres of land at Gachibowli to set up its office.
Telangana IT minister KT Rama Rao tweeted that the Rs.1,000 crore investment by Google to build the 2-million-square-feet office will double the current strength of the company to 13,000.
The company said in a press release, “Google expects the facility to be complete and fully operational in about 4 years and is supposed to start before the summer of 2019.”
This incidentally will also be Google’s first campus in Asia. India currently has four offices in India: Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Hyderabad. However, all of them are leased.
