Google Pixel 2 release date, news and rumors

Some alleged renders of Google’s upcoming flagship smartphones, Pixel 2, recently surfaced online. The alleged leaks show a bezel-less display. Now, a new video of the Google Pixel 2 smartphones has appeared online. The video claims to reveal the smartphones’ design.
The video too confirms bezel-less design for the smartphones. As per the video, the upcoming Google phones will sport thin bezels and sleek design. DBS Designing, the team said to be working on Google Pixel 2 smartphones is said to be eyeing a design overhaul for the two phones. As per speculations, the smartphones will be sleeker as compared to their predecessors and will come with a metal and glass body.
The video claims a 5.7-inch QHD display. The rear panel of the devices house a dual rear camera and a fingerprint sensor along with the Google logo. The 12MP dual rear cameras are placed in vertical position along with LED flash. The right side of the device has a power button and volume rockers and the front features a 7MP selfie shooter.
Google Pixel 2 is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. Speculations suggest 128GB of internal storage and come with Android O operating system out of the box. The smartphones are claimed to be backed by 3,800 mAh battery with fast charging support.
Google has already confirmed that the successors to its Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones will be launching later this year. Earlier this year at MWC 2017, the company’s senior vice president Rick Osterloh confirmed the news. It was also mentioned that the handsets will stick to their premium segment pricing.
Back in March, a report mentioned that the upcoming Pixel smartphones may the way of Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus by ditching the 3.5mm audio jack. This indicates that the smartphones could be thinner than their predecessors too.
