Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL goes on sale in India

Google launched its flagship smartphone Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL last month. The devices went on pre-order in India last week via Flipkart and are now up for purchase both online and offline. Customers can purchase the smartphones online on Flipkart and offline on Croma and Reliance Digital stores.

The Google Pixel 2 comes with a starting price tag of Rs 61,000, while the Pixel 2 XL’s price starts at Rs 73,000. The devices come in Black and White colour options.


As part of the sale, the e-commerce giant Flipkart is giving an exchange offer of up to Rs 20,000 on both the smartphones. HDFC Bank credit card holders can also get a cashback of Rs 8,000 on EMI transaction. There is also a no cost EMI option starting Rs 3,389 per month and 5% discount for Axis Bank Buzz credit card holders. Customers can also get buyback guarantee for Rs 149 from Flipkart. Apart from this, customers who pre-ordered the smartphone will get a free Sennheiser headset worth Rs 11,990 and extra Rs 5000 exchange on select smartphones.

Airtel subscribers will also get 120GB of additional data for the period of 6 months. If you are purchasing the device from Reliance Digital then you will get unlimited voice, data, SMS and Jio apps worth Rs 9,999 and extra Rs 5,000 exchange on select smartphones. We also contacted Croma, but presently they are not giving any offers with the smartphones.


The HTC-made Google Pixel 2 features a 5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) AMOLED 2.5D display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Running the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the Pixel 2 supports 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in two variants based on inbuilt storage versions – 64GB and 128GB. It has a 12.2MP rear camera and is backed by a 2700mAH battery.

On the other hand, the LG-made Google Pixel 2 XL shares similar set of specifications as the Pixel 2 but with a slight change. It has a 6-inch QHD+ (2880×1440 pixels) P-OLED display along with 18:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 538ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. The device is backed by a 3520mAh battery, which is said to run for up to 7 hours in 15 minutes of charging. The smartphone will be made available in Just Black and Black and White colour variants.
