Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) and Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) surface in benchmark listings

Various reports about South Korean tech giant Samsung‘s upcoming smartphones are slowly emerging and this time it’s about its mid-range J series.

Both the Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) and the Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) have been spotted on Geekbench and GFXbench respectively.

Firstly, Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) appeared with the model name SM-J250F and is powered by 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 quad-core processor paired most likey 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Next up, the Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) got listed with the model name SM-G571 and according to the listing comes with 4.8-inch HD display, is powered by 1.4GHz Exynos 7570 quad-core processor and offers 32GB storage with 3GB RAM. In terms of camera, it sports 12 MP main camera and 8 MP front snapper.

Since we cannot confirm the information about the upcoming Samsung handsets we suggest that our readers take it with a pinch of salt.

Recently, after IDC‘s report of Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi leveling up with Samsung at top slot in the Indian smartphone market, Samsung is said to strengthen its Galaxy J and Galaxy ON series of mobile phones in the Rs 8,000 to 15,000 range with some aggressive model launches.

Samsung and Xiaomi led the smartphone market in the quarter with each having 24 percent market share. Xiaomi’s aggressive pricing made the brand a clear winner in selling devices on e-tailers and direct internet platform.
