ESS Distribution, exclusively promoting ESET brand in India, appoints Zakir Hussain Rangwala as new Country Head; aims at boosting revenue growth.
ESET, global provider of security solutions for businesses and consumers, appointed Zakir Hussain Rangwala as its new Country Head. Prior to his promotion, Zakir was National Sales Manager – Enterprise & SMB.
In his new role, Zakir Hussain will be responsible for spearheading the overall operations for ESS Distribution Pvt. Ltd., exclusively promoting ESET brand in India, including sales, marketing, client services and support. Mr. Zakir comes with twenty years of experience in the IT security and technology sector.
Having a two decades of experience in engaging new partners, distributors and sub distributors for various technology brands, including security software products Mr. Zakir will drive ESET India’s revenue growth through implementation of aggressive sales and marketing strategies and building the company’s channel programs in this market.
“ESET is experiencing significant growth in the consumer and corporate information security markets in India as we focus on keeping up our products in line with rapidly changing technologies as well as strengthen our partner programs,” said Zakir Hussain. “We are presently working on innovative marketing strategies as well as continue expanding our team of techno-commercial managers across India, including Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, to support our partners with even better industry expertise. These new people will closely work with ESET India channel partners to enhance quality sales and provide sales and technical support to partners when needed”.
Zakir Hussain also noted that ESET has made tremendous progress in Indian market in the past two years expanding its presence both in retail and the corporate sector. Additionally, he stated that the company is currently extending its business solutions portfolio and new products will be available in Indian market within the next few months. In retail segment, ESET India is gearing up for a launch of new version of ESET’s flagship NOD32 Antivirus and ESET Smart Security.
Continuing its efforts to maintain cordial relations with its channel partners ESET India has carried several channel schemes in recent past. The “Go explore Amsterdam” scheme spanning over five months attracted over 70 channel partners across India. More than 50 of them qualified for fully-paid four-day trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands and Brussels, Belgium.

Apart from various leisure activities in Amsterdam and five more European cities, ESET India partners participated in Partner Conference and Channel Award Ceremony organized there. ESET India had previously organized reward trips to Thailand and Uzbekistan for its most active channel partners.
