Belkin launches Boost Up Qi enabled wireless charging pad (5W)

Just in time for the iPhoneX to start shipping on November 3, Belkin has launched its Boost Up Qi enabled wireless charging pad at Rs 2,999. The device was earlier announced at the AppleiPhone X launch alongside Mophie wireless charging pad — Apple’s two third party wireless charging pads. The company’s very own AirPower will be launched early next year.

It is an entry level 5W wireless charging pad for Qi enabled devices which also ensures faster charging speed. The device is Qi certified and has 5W/1-amp output for fast charging. The top portion of the device features a soft texture which prevents the device from getting scratched and from slipping. A phone will be able to get charged wirelessly even with lightweight cases up to 3mm. Not just the newly-launched Apple devices, the Belkin Boost Up is compatible with all the other Qi enabled devices, mainly smartphones and tablets.

The device is available in Reliance Digital stores and Imagine stores along with Amazon India website.

The iPhone X which was announced in September this year is already up for pre-orders across the world. Apple iPhone X comes with a starting price tag of Rs 89,000. It is the first iPhone to sport an OLED display with Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. The iPhone sports a Super Retina edge-to-edge 5.8-inch display with 2436 x 1125 pixels resolution.

The smartphone runs iOS 11 and is powered by company’s A11 Bionic chipset. It is also the first iPhone which comes with facial recognition FaceID feature.

The FaceID has replaced Apple’s trademark TouchID fingerprint which made their debut in iPhones in 2013. The company claims that FaceID is powered by TrueDepth camera system on the front.
