Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus available at a discount of Rs 7,000

Both Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are available at a cashback discount of Rs 7,000. The company’s older-generation iPhone 5S too is available at a cashback discount of Rs 5,000.
This is a limited period offer and is is not available online. Interested buyers can avail the offer at brick-and-mortar retail stores only.
The cashback offer is valid on full-swipe transactions (i.e non-EMI/financing options) of select banks’ debit and credit cards and cannot be combined with any other offer. The banks include American Express, HDFC Bank, HSBC Bank, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, RBL Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Yes Bank, Union Bank and more.
Apple launched iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India in October 2015. Both the iPhone models come with 3D Touch and 2GB RAM. The Apple smartphones sport 12-megapixel iSight camera, capable of shooting 4K videos. The front FaceTime camera is 5-megapixels.
The duo feature faster-second-generation TouchID sensor and are made of tough aircraft grade aluminium, same as Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge . Under the hood is the new 64-bit A9 chipset that is claimed to be 70% faster at carrying out processes than the one in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones. Similarly, the graphics processing too is said to have jumped 90% aided by a new graphics processor versus previous-generation models.
In September 2016, Apple India slashed the prices of both iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus smartphones by as much as Rs 22,000. However, the price cuts were announced only for the top-end storage (128GB) variants of the two smartphones.
Apple appears to be doing well in the top-end segment in the Indian market. According to a recent report by market research firm Counterpoint, in FY16, the company sold over 2.5 million iPhones.
Globally too, Apple beat Samsung to emerge as the top smartphone brand in the world during the last quarter of the year 2016. The company ended Samsung’s reign at top after five years.
