Fly Mobiles, a UK-based smartphone maker, has launched three Android-based budget smartphones in the Indian market. Known as Fly Qik+, Fly Qik and Fly Snap, the three smartphones will be available starting at Rs 2,999.
Speaking at the launch, Rahul Goel, president, Fly Mobile, said, “We have been in the industry for a decade now and are excited about our new range of Octa-core phones. Fly India will focus on bringing exceptional smartphones from its global portfolio. We believe that the India has huge potential in this category and are confident of satiating the needs of the smartphone generation.” The company has joined hands with online retailer Snapdeal.com for the launch of these smartphones in the country.
Commenting on the alliance between Fly Mobiles and Snapdeal.com, Karan Khara, vice president, strategic alliances at Snapdeal, “Snapdeal is proud to be the launch partner for the latest offering from the house of Fly Mobiles. Fly Mobiles is one of the leading mobile phone brands in Eastern Europe, and we are very excited to take their latest challenge to the market with the ‘Qik’ series of Smartphones.”
Here’s a quick look at the technical specifications of the smartphones. The Fly Qik+ comes with 12.7-cm (5-inch) display screen with the Fly Qik sports a 11.43-cm (4.5-inch) display. Both the Android smartphones are powered by 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor. On the other hand, the 10.16-cm (4-inch) Fly Snap packs a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. All three latest Fly smartphones run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and sport dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, and FM Radio. The company has not shared the details about the availability of the smartphones yet, but we assume that the devices will go on sale in days to come.
